Announcement from Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) for Filling Managing Director Post

Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) is inviting applications from individuals to fill the post of Managing Director.

Employment Status: The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:- (a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE); (b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services; (c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more; (d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed Companies. (* The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualification: The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate/ Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant/ Graduate with MBA/ Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM) from a leading institute.

Experience: Applicants should possess cumulative experience/ exposure in Finance/ Marketing/ Production at a senior level of management for at least 5 years during the last 10 years in a large organizational/ establishment. Experience in Petroleum/ Petrochemical/ Oil and Gas/ Hydrocarbon/ Chemical/ Pharmaceuticals sector is preferable.

Job Description And Responsibilities: The Managing Director (MD) is the Chief Executive of the Company and is accountable to the Board of Directors and Government/ Share holders. He/She is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Company and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters

Brahmaputra Cracker & Polymer Limited (BCPL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 with the objective to engage in the construction and operation of a green field Petrochemicals Plant in Lepetkata, Distt. Dibrugarh, Assam. The plant was successfully commissioned on 2nd January, 2016. GAIL (India) Limited is the main promoter having 70% equity participation and the balance 30% is equally shared by OIL, NRL and Govt. of Assam. BCPL is a Schedule ‘B’ CPSE with the administrative jurisdiction of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Its registered office is at Guwahati, Assam. The Authorised Share Capital and Paid up capital of the Company was Rs. 2000 crore and Rs. 1417.67 crore respectively as on 31.03.2022. The company employed 623 regular employees [Executives 425, Non-executives 188] as on 31.03.2022 including 2 whole time Directors and 10 executives on secondment from GAIL.
