Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology Invites Applications for Technical Consultant / Research Scientist

Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology, Thrissur is inviting applications from individuals to fill the post of Technical Consultant / Research Scientist on purely temporary basis upto a period of 3 years.

Essential qualification : :PhD with minimum one year or M.Tech with minimum three years industrial experience in embedded system, electronic circuit designs and product realization.

Desirable: Experience in IoT system design with expertise in interfaces to Bluetooth/Zigbee/Wifi/Lora, Sensor product design and system integration with expertise in hardware and communication protocols like UART, 12C, SPI, Expertise in electronic circuit design and multilayer PCB design, Good knowledge in International protocols and standards for electronics product design especially for sensors, Good understanding of microelectronics, working experience as team leader in an Industry.

Nature of duties and Responsibilities: 1. Design, development and integration of sensors and devices in compliance with international protocols and standards for electronics product design. 2. Product realization of IoT enabled sensors and devices. 3. System design and integration with Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, LoRA, etc. and interfacing with cloud platform/web services. 4. Hardware/firmware design and interfacing communication protocols such as UART, 12C, SPI, etc. 5. Designing electronic circuits and multilayer PCBs 6. Testing and characterization of sensors and devices as per international protocols and standards 7. Developing/Providing solutions in the area of sensors for collaborative industries 8. Support the senior scientists in commercialization of developed sensors and devices through technology transfers 9. Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical knowledge base and literature in his/her specialization. 10.Generating IPR in his/her area of specialization and protect the same through patents. 11.Assistance to senior scientist for the preparation of ToT documents as per approved procedure and formats. 12.Assistance to senior scientist for the preparation of project proposals on relevant electronic materials/devices/ systems for submitting to various Private / Government / International funding agencies. 13.Assistance to senior scientist for the preparation of project execution plan with micro details and scheduling.

General Conditions: 1. The applicant must be a Citizen of India. 2. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification. Such claims will only be considered if supported by valid documents. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification. 3. In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated otherwise the application is liable to be rejected. 4. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part-time basis, daily wages, visiting/ guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short listing the candidates for interview. If any document/ certificate furnished in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or notary is to be submitted. 5. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/ or experience etc. shall be on 28 th February, 2023(inclusive of the date). 6. Candidates having marks expressed in CGPA/DGPA/OGPA etc. must convert them into their equivalent percentage of marks as per norms of the University/ Institute concerned.
