Indian Institute of Technology Madras Recruiting Chief Security Officer (Direct Recruitment / On Deputation )

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is inviting applications from individuals to fill the post of Chief Security Officer (Direct Recruitment / On Deputation ).

The requisite qualifications and experience for the notified post is specified below: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institute with at least 15 years of relevant experience of which at least 5 years experience in the Supervisory capacity in the Pay Matrix Level-11 (Pre-revised PB-3: GP 6600) in Central /State Govt. or Major of the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force or its equivalent in the Police/Security cadre of Government organizations/PSUs.

Important Instructions to the campaigners: 1. campaigners must be citizens of India. 2. The specified qualifications are minimal and unless specified else, they’re needed for consideration for the notified post, indeed if advanced qualification has been acquired and the bare fact that a seeker possesses the same won’t entitle him her for being called for interview. 3. Applicable experience gained after the minimal qualifying degree will only be taken into consideration. 4. The Institute reserves the right to circumscribe the number of campaigners for written/ physical test/ interview to a reasonable limit on the base of qualifications, position and applicability of experience advanced than the minimum specified in the announcement. The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the operations without assigning any reasons therefor. 5. Calling a seeker for test/ interview simply indicates that it’s felt that he she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he she will be recommended or named, or his/ her conditions specified in the operation will be accepted. 6. campaigners will be short- listed for Test/ Interview on the base of the information handed by them in their online operations. They must insure that similar information is true. However, their candidature will be liable to be rejected, If at any posterior stage or at the time of Test/ Interview any information given by them or any claim made by them in their online operations is set up to be false. 7. The Institute shall corroborate the antecedents or documents submitted by a seeker at any time at the time of appointment or during the term of the service. In case, it’s detected that the documents submitted by the campaigners are fake or the seeker has covert antecedents background and has suppressed the said information, also his services shall be liable to be terminated. 8. In case of any unintentional mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage indeed after the issue of appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the campaigners. 9. The Institute has a right to decide the mode of webbing and testing the aspirant for shortlisting and selection. 10. The Institute strives to have a pool which reflects gender balance and women campaigners are encouraged to apply. 11. Reservation policy as per Government of India( GoI) morals is followed. 12. Relaxation in age to Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules. 13. Relaxation in age to internal campaigners as per rules. 14. The other terms and conditions of the appointment on deputation will be governed in agreement with the guidelines issued by the GoI/ DoPT vide letter No. 6/ 8/ 2009- Estt( Pay II) dated17.06.2010 and as amended from time to time.

Campaigners should follow the specified procedure for submission of online operation. The campaigners shall upload only the following applicable documents in the following sequence a. instruments educational qualifications in chronological order i.e. SSLC, HSc, Diploma, UG Degree, PG Degree, PhD, All the times mark list of minimal educational qualification specified for the post applied. b. Certificate of Date of Birth( issued by Municipality etc. or Matriculation/ High School instrument. c. Valid order instrument( SC/ ST/ OBC- NCL/ EWS/Ex-servicemen etc.) if applicable. d. NOC from current employer if applicable. e. instruments of experience in chronological order and it should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the association’s letter head bearing the date of issue, name, designation, specific period of work, nature of duties and hand of the Administrative Authority/ Owner of the association along with his/ her seal, which makes the seeker eligible for applying for the said post. f. Salary instruments towards their gests . In the payment instrument, the bifurcation of gross payment should be indicated easily viz Pay, DA, HRA and any other allowances. payment instruments attained from private companies parties with consolidated quantum won’t be considered. These instruments should contain bifurcation of the payment so as to enable to compare with the scales and pay of the Government indicated against each post wherever needed. g. Certificate of proficiency should be submitted, wherever needed, with respect to desirable qualifications
