Opportunity for Research at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is inviting applications from individuals to fill the post of Research Assistant.

Required Qualifications and skills:  Applicants must possess a master’s degree in public policy, public· administration, management, or other related disciplines such as economics, political science, and sociology from a reputed institution.  Applicants must have strong quantitative data analysis skills, excellent· communication skills (written and oral) with good foundational knowledge of statistics and econometrics.  Candidates must be able to conduct literature reviews, read and summarize· research papers, and contribute to academic writing in the form of journal publications, case studies, and reports.  Candidates must be proficient in statistical programming using Stata, Python· and/or R. They must be comfortable with creating and managing datasets, analyzing, and visualizing them.  Prior research experience in an academic institution is preferred; candidates· aspiring for doctoral studies are preferred.

Duration: This is a full-time, on-campus position. The position will be initially offered for a period of six months with a potential for extension up to 12 months based on performance, at the discretion of the faculty supervisor. The Research Assistant will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and may be required to travel within India.

Reporting: The selected Research Assistant will report to faculty at the JSW School of Public Policy.
