Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), Bangalore is inviting applications from individuals to fill the post of Scientist ‘B’.
Qualification: Essential: Doctorate degree in physical or chemical sciences, preferably in Natural/Nano Science and Technology or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine from a recognized University.
Experience: Experience of a minimum of 5 years in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions and/or Science and Technology Organizations, out of which 3 years should be in Science and Technology programme, planning, development and coordination.
General Instructions: 1. The Centre reserves the right to upgrade the position or to fix the salary at higher levels based on merit and if the candidate has higher exposure, particularly with respect to nano materials research and technology. Candidates with the requisite qualifications and higher levels of work experience may also therefore apply. 2. The applicant should be a citizen of India. 3. Age limit relaxation will be admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen/EWS and employees of Govt./PSU/ Autonomous Bodies /Universities/CeNS, as per Central Govt. Rules,for the post notified above.The relaxation may be extended to candidates from general category also, if required, based on special merit found in candidates. 4. The position carries a probationary period of one year from the date of appointment and will be considered for permanent status, subject to review. Candidates appointed after due process of selection shall be liable to serve anywhere in India and outside. The age for retirement on superannuation is 60 years. The position is covered under the National Pension Scheme (NPS). 5. The crucial date for determining the age limit for eligibility shall be the closing date for receipt of applications (5 April, 2023). 6. Mere fulfillment of qualifications, experience, etc. shall not entitle any candidate to be called for further process of recruitment/interview.
